You will build the engine that automates the deployment of autonomous agents for the world's largest engineering and construction firms. Rather than building bespoke bots, you will create a self-configuring system that turns complex enterprise workflows into live, adopted AI agents, bridging the gap between raw LLM capability and production reality.
Applied AI Engineer at Sektor
Enterprise AI is broken: companies spend billions on agents that never reach production because the implementation is manual and bespoke. This London-based startup is fixing it with the world's first platform for autonomous agentic deployments, already generating $2M ARR in stealth while serving $40 billion worth of global construction projects. As an Applied AI Engineer, you won't just build agents; you'll build the engine that automates their deployment. We are looking for high-agency engineers who were building with LLMs before it was a career move and want to solve the unglamorous, hard problems of reliability and adoption at scale.
About this role
Role overview
About the company
Sektor is the world's first platform for autonomous technology deployment. Large, heavy industries like Construction spend billions every year on software that never gets properly adopted, because the last mile of implementation is still manual, consultant-driven, and broken. We are changing that by building the orchestration layer that automates these enterprise software roll-outs: AI-generated deployment workflows, automated configuration agents, and real integrations with the tools that run the world's largest infrastructure projects. It is a genuinely hard problem, in a market that has never seen a real technical solution, at a company early enough to shape the architecture from the ground up.
What you'll do
What you will do
- Develop a self-configuring engine that takes mapped workflows like RFI handling and automates agent setup with minimal manual intervention.
- Build robust data pipelines and MCP integrations to connect critical enterprise data sources where no existing connectors exist.
- Implement production-grade reliability features including human-in-the-loop checkpoints, idempotency, and automated rollback systems for complex environments.
Who you are
Who this is a fit for
- Proven track record of building autonomous LLM applications that take real-world actions, evidenced by a history of sophisticated side projects or tools.
- Strong engineering fundamentals with an obsession for reliability, retries, and observability in non-deterministic AI systems.
- High-agency communicator who is comfortable being the technical face of the company for enterprise clients and non-technical stakeholders.
Why this role
Why this role is remarkable
- Join a high-growth startup already generating $2M ARR in stealth, working directly with the founding team to shape the future of agentic deployments.
- Tackle a massive market opportunity by solving the "last mile" problem for enterprises spending billions on AI that currently fails to reach production.
- High-autonomy environment where you are encouraged to automate yourself out of a job and influence the core product direction through direct client interaction.
