Engineering Team Lead at Nory - AI-native hospitality platform

As the Engineering Team Lead for Insights, you will own the technical direction of Nory’s most business-critical product area. Leading a high-performing squad, you’ll build AI-powered forecasting and decision-support tools that help restaurant operators reduce waste and increase profits. You will balance hands-on coding with people leadership to scale our intelligent operational platform.

• Lead technical delivery for the Insights product, overseeing the architecture and execution of predictive tools used for demand forecasting and staff scheduling.
• Manage and mentor a small squad of engineers, conducting code reviews, unblocking delivery, and fostering a high-performance engineering culture.
• Partner with Product, Data, and Design teams to integrate machine learning models into intuitive user experiences that drive commercial outcomes for customers.

• At least 8 years of experience building production systems with 2+ years of experience directly managing or leading engineering teams in a product-led company.
• Strong full-stack fundamentals with proficiency in modern stacks like Python (FastAPI), React, TypeScript, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Proven track record of delivering complex analytics or data-driven products where reliability and statistical accuracy are essential for customer trust.

• Lead the most impactful product area at a Series B startup that has raised $63M from top-tier investors like Accel and Kinnevik.
• Work on a mission-critical AI-native system that is already delivering 20% cost reductions for major brands like Jamie Oliver Group and Azzurri Group.
