Forward Deployed Engineer at Foresight Data Machines

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will act as the "CTO of a deployment," embedding directly with customers in massive factories to solve complex manufacturing problems. You will design, develop, and ship AI-driven solutions across the full tech stack, translating physics and chemistry challenges into robust, production-ready software in high-stakes environments.

• Identify and analyze customer problems rooted in manufacturing operations, physics, and chemistry to design bespoke technical solutions.
• Build and rapidly iterate on prototypes, writing frontend and backend code while developing data models and automation infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with a co-located team of engineers and designers in a fast-paced office environment with zero-latency communication.

• Demonstrates exceptional technical ability through previous experience in early-stage startups, competitive hackathons, or impressive open-source contributions.
• Possesses a strong engineering background with a degree in Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science and fluency in Python, C/C++, or Go.
• Thrives in uncertain, dynamic environments and is excited to travel extensively to work hands-on in massive industrial factory settings.
