Founding Hardware Engineer at stealth AI infrastructure startup founded by Meta & Intel veterans

Join a pre-funding stealth team from Meta Superintelligence Labs and Stanford building the physical data infrastructure for the humanoid robotics revolution. As a Founding Hardware Engineer, you will lead the development of a tactile sensing glove that uses world-first active MEMS sensors to capture the ground truth data required for dexterous robotic manipulation. This is a high-ownership role for a hands-on builder who wants to move fast, iterate in 3D CAD, and deploy real hardware into care facilities and manufacturing sites. Help close the simulation-to-reality gap and build the data moat that will define the next decade of AI robotics.

Overview

Role overview

You will lead the hardware integration of a revolutionary tactile glove designed to train the next generation of humanoid robots. By embedding high-density MEMS sensors into soft wearables, you will bridge the gap between simulation and real-world dexterity, creating the foundational data moat for the future of robotic manipulation.

Responsibilities

What you will do

  • Own the physical integration and mechanical architecture of the tactile glove, including 3D CAD design and functional prototyping.
  • Manage the routing of high-density flex circuits, rigid-flex PCBs, and strain relief within complex wearable form factors.
  • Partner with robotics customers to ensure data fidelity and synchronization meet the requirements for RL and imitation learning.

Candidate profile

Who this is a fit for

  • Hands-on builder with expert-level 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks/Fusion 360) and extensive functional 3D printing experience.
  • Proven track record of shipping wearable products or tightly integrated hardware that balances electronics with ergonomics.
  • Background in sensor integration, PCB design, and firmware development (RTOS, C/C++, I²C/SPI) for deterministic data pipelines.

What makes it remarkable

Why this role is remarkable

  • Work with world-first active MEMS sensors featuring on-chip digitization through an exclusive hardware joint venture.
  • Join a pre-funding founding team of experts from Meta Superintelligence Labs, Intel, and Stanford moving at high velocity.
  • Direct impact on the "tip of the spear" hardware that generates critical training data for humanoid robotics labs worldwide.
