Product Backend Founding Engineer at Kensai - The Operating System for Health Commerce

Join as the third technical member of a stealth-mode startup revolutionizing global health commerce. You will architect the "ground truth" infrastructure, building high-scale data pipelines and scraping engines that turn fragmented global regulations into structured intelligence. This role is pivotal in enabling health brands to launch products across 20+ countries simultaneously with a single "Golden SKU."

• Architect and own the PostgreSQL schema and backend infrastructure designed to scale regulatory data for multi-country harmonisation from day one.
• Build sophisticated web scrapers and data pipelines to extract and structure legal data from hostile sources like locked government PDFs and legal databases.
• Partner with the Founding AI Engineer to build the plumbing between raw data sources and LLM reasoning layers to ensure pristine data delivery.

• 4+ years of backend experience building systems from scratch with a deep mastery of Python, PostgreSQL, and complex web scraping (BeautifulSoup/Scrapy).
• Proven "Hacker DNA" with the ability to navigate unstructured data environments and a pragmatic approach to delivering full-stack MVPs using AI-assisted tools.
• Strong founder mindset with a preference for shipping high-impact code over perfection, ideally with a background or interest in Health-tech or regulatory compliance.

• Secure a significant 1-2% founding equity stake in a pre-seed startup founded by a medical doctor with deep regulatory and longevity expertise.
