As an early Senior Backend Engineer, you will architect the backbone of a platform that transforms messy enterprise spend data into actionable intelligence using agentic AI. You'll build high-volume, low-latency systems and scalable data engines that deliver results in minutes for global companies, directly impacting the trajectory of this fast-growing, well-funded startup.

• Architect and maintain mission-critical data ingestion and processing engines capable of handling massive datasets from diverse enterprise formats.
• Design and ship high-performance, well-documented APIs to support low-latency requirements for global enterprise operations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to translate customer business challenges into robust technical solutions through rapid ideation and experimentation.

• 5+ years of experience in backend engineering with deep expertise in object-oriented programming, specifically within cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proven track record of applying SOLID principles, Domain-Driven Design, and Clean Architecture to build scalable, production-grade microservices.
• Strong passion for software craftsmanship and applied AI, with the ability to distinguish between strategic technical debt and poor architectural choices.

• Significant ownership as an early team member (top 10) with the agency to decide technical architecture and directly influence the product roadmap.
• Work with a high-caliber team including talent from Spotify and GoCardless, led by founders with backgrounds from Bain and Oxford.
• Solve complex, large-scale data challenges for the world's most recognizable enterprises using state-of-the-art LLMs and agentic AI workflows.
