Senior Platform Engineer at $1.3B valuation Series C AI fintech

As the first dedicated security hire within a high-seniority Platform team, you will build the security function from the ground up. You will design automated guardrails, implement policy-as-code using Terraform, and secure the software supply chain for a platform used by 300+ blue-chip institutions, including global investment banks and private equity firms.

• Design and implement automated security guardrails across a multi-account AWS environment using Terraform and policy-as-code to enforce secure defaults.
• Build and maintain robust software supply chain security, including secret scanning, dependency management, and automated CI/CD gates within GitHub Actions.
• Partner directly with engineering teams to threat model new systems and influence a culture of security across the entire 300+ client-serving organization.

• Extensive hands-on experience building or significantly maturing the security posture of an AWS-based platform in a startup or scale-up environment.
• Deep technical proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and automating security checks within modern CI/CD pipelines like GitHub Actions.
• Pragmatic approach to security that balances robust protection with high-quality developer experience, coupled with the ability to influence cross-functional engineering teams.

• Lead a greenfield "cold start" security function with total autonomy to design and implement modern DevSecOps standards from scratch.
