Senior Power System Engineer at Rivan Industries

As a Senior Power System Engineer, you will own the DC electrical architecture for modular synthetic fuel plants. You will design >1MW solar arrays and distribution systems that integrate directly with electrolysers and thermal reactors. This hands-on role is critical to 1000x scaling and making carbon-neutral fuel cheaper than fossil alternatives.

• Design and optimize >1MW scale DC solar arrays and power distribution systems specifically for integration with alkaline electrolysers and thermal reactors.
• Engineer and certify combiner boxes and high-power inverter integrations while managing complex cable layouts, sizing, and containment designs to BS & IEC standards.
• Model various configurations and assembly methods to drive down the cost of solar-to-fuel energy conversion and improve overall system efficiency.

• Possesses 5+ years of experience in power systems engineering, specifically designing and deploying large-scale DC solar arrays or industrial power distribution.
• Proficient in circuit diagramming using tools like SolidWorks Electrical and has a proven track record of certifying hardware to relevant safety and performance standards.
• Exhibits a hands-on, "builder" mentality with the ability to take full responsibility for a system from initial concept through to physical wiring and commissioning.
