Staff Software Engineer, Product at Cleric — AI SRE startup

You will define the future of incident response by building the first autonomous AI SRE. This Staff-level role involves designing complex data flows, surfacing agent reasoning to engineers, and conducting product experiments. You'll work directly with the founders to solve the next hard challenge in AI: high-trust, autonomous production investigation.

• Architect and build the core systems that power autonomous investigations, including integration points and reasoning interfaces.
• Drive product direction by embedding in engineering war rooms to observe real-world debugging and translate findings into features.
• Set high engineering standards across the stack (Python, backend, and frontend) to ensure high velocity and system reliability.

• Has extensive experience shipping products at scale and has personally felt the "2AM pager stress" of triaging production incidents.
• Possesses strong product instincts, with a proven track record of deciding what to build rather than just executing on specs.
• Is technically proficient across the full stack and actively uses AI coding agents like Cursor or Copilot in their daily workflow.
