Applied AI Engineer at Abby Care

As a key early engineer, you will design and build AI-native products that serve as intelligent copilots for families and clinicians. Reporting to the former Head of Health AI at Amazon, you will own the full lifecycle of applied AI systems, transforming clinical data into proactive care models that have already reduced hospitalizations by 38%.

• Own end-to-end development of applied AI systems, from model selection and fine-tuning to production deployment and evaluation of agentic workflows.
• Collaborate with clinical and compliance teams to design safe, trustworthy AI solutions that navigate complex, highly regulated healthcare environments.
• Proactively prototype and iterate on intelligent features based on real-time feedback from the families and clinicians using your products daily.

• 3+ years of professional experience in applied AI/ML engineering with a proven track record of shipping products to production.
• Deep proficiency in Python and the modern AI toolchain, including experience with LLM orchestration, data processing, and cloud platforms like AWS.
