Role overview
As a Senior Data Engineer at Maeve AI, you will own the end-to-end data layer, transforming messy retailer data into a high-trust semantic layer. You’ll build robust pipelines using Snowflake and dbt to power AI agents and dashboards, ensuring data consistency across the platform while shaping the technical architecture for 100+ future brands.

What you will do
- Design and maintain end-to-end production data pipelines from raw source ingestion (Shopify, PLMs) to the Cube.dev semantic layer.
- Architect scalable dbt models in Snowflake to provide a unified, queryable source of truth for both human merchandisers and AI agents.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to define the data structures required for next-generation LLM-powered features and predictive analytics.
Who this is a fit for
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of owning dbt projects and Snowflake environments in production.
- Expert-level SQL skills and proficiency in Python, with the ability to build and orchestrate complex ingestion pipelines from diverse ERP/e-commerce systems.
- A startup-ready mindset with strong product intuition, capable of managing architectural decisions and communicating technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
