As a Senior Data Engineer at Chip Financial Ltd, you will co-own the architecture of a high-scale data platform. Moving beyond implementation, you will design the ingestion, modelling, and semantic layers of a Databricks lakehouse. You will provide technical leadership, mentoring engineers while evolving a medallion architecture to support data-driven decision-making across the business.

What you will do
- Design and evolve the medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) using Databricks to ensure high performance and scalability.
- Define engineering standards including naming conventions, partitioning, and testing strategies while applying Infrastructure as Code via Terraform.
- Own governance patterns within Unity Catalog, managing PII handling and technical standards for the wider engineering team to follow.
