Applied AI Lead at Alternative Payments

You will own the AI layer powering internal operations at an inflection point for the platform. Partnering with bizops and engineering, you will deploy agentic workflows, design context engineering strategies, and set technical guardrails for an AI-native fintech stack. This is a hands-on builder role focused on real-world business impact.

• Stand up end-to-end agentic workflows using Claude Code and internal stacks to eliminate manual work and accelerate business cycle times.
• Own the internal AI infrastructure including model selection, context engineering, prompt design, and the development of robust evaluation harnesses.
• Act as the organization’s authority on AI security, implementing prompt injection defenses, access controls, and vulnerability assessments for agentic systems.

• 6+ years of experience in software development, bizops, or data roles with proven success shipping production-grade AI systems, not just experimentation.
• Expert-level knowledge of prompt engineering and MCP (Model Context Protocol), with the ability to navigate trade-offs between RAG, fine-tuning, and tool use.
• Strategic communicator capable of moving fluidly between technical architecture and business outcomes to earn trust across multi-functional stakeholders.

• Lead the AI strategy for a company that has spent five years perfecting accounts receivable and is now expanding into a complete financial OS for SMBs.
• Influence the entire organization by building reusable AI skills, sub-agents, and MCP integrations that compound across finance, support, and engineering functions.
• Work directly with the founding team in a high-ownership environment where your architectural decisions define how an AI-native fintech platform is built from the ground up.
