Founding Designer at Caplight

As the first design hire at this SF-based fintech startup, you will partner directly with the CTO to build institutional-grade AI credit and liquidity infrastructure. You'll own the end-to-end design process for a platform handling billions in order volume, transforming complex financial workflows into intuitive, high-quality user experiences.

• Lead design end-to-end across the platform, including product workflows, visual systems, and marketing materials for a modern trading marketplace.
• Partner with founders to shape the product roadmap, translate complex data into clear interfaces, and write technical specifications for new features.
• Drive features through the full lifecycle from initial prototype to production launch, coordinating directly with engineering to ensure high-fidelity releases.

• Has 5+ years of product design experience, ideally at early-stage startups, with a portfolio demonstrating mastery in both UX and visual execution for data-heavy tools.
• Possesses a "founder DNA" mindset, being comfortable defining problems, writing specs, and operating without a PM intermediary in a high-velocity environment.
• Is highly proficient with modern AI design tools and prototypes quickly, with the ability to provide engineers with functional proofs-of-concept rather than static handoffs.

• You will be the founding designer at a cash-flow positive startup backed by elite investors like Better Tomorrow Ventures and Deutsche Börse, serving the world's leading institutional investors.
