Role overview
Automated Architecture (AUAR) is a construction technology company that develops AI-powered design-to-manufacturing software, deployable robotic micro-factories, and modular systems to automate the production of sustainable, low-carbon timber housing. It partners with homebuilders and manufacturers via a ‘No Capex’ Manufacture-as-a-Service model to enable distributed manufacturing of net-zero homes, targeting mass adoption of timber construction and automation.
What you will do
- Use proprietary MasterBuilder software to transform partner architectural drawings into high-quality, manufacture-ready timber frame BIM models and panel packs.
- Critically review incoming design packages to identify and resolve production details that fall outside system specifications before they reach the robotic MicroFactory.
- Collaborate with the Delivery Lead to coordinate production sequencing and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with regional codes across the UK, US, and EU.
Who this is a fit for
- Has at least 3+ years of professional experience in timber frame design, production engineering, or DfMA within a factory-adjacent or MMC context.
- Demonstrates advanced proficiency in Revit or similar BIM environments, with a strong grasp of timber frame structural behavior, tolerances, and connection details.
- Possesses a critical eye for architectural drawings and bills of material, with the ability to adapt to varying regional building codes and compliance frameworks.
Why this role is remarkable
- Work at the intersection of robotics and architecture within an 11,000 sq ft R&D facility where your designs are built on-site by robots.
- Join a mission-driven Series A startup backed by heavyweights like ABB Robotics, focused on making high-quality, sustainable homes affordable and easy to build.
- Enjoy significant ownership and high autonomy, including sizeable share options that ensure you grow alongside a company currently scaling across the US and Europe.
