About the company
Telemachus is a machine which clones and improves large chunks of the economy. It puts together small teams (of around 4 people), provides them with capital, deep expertise and all the necessary infrastructure to clone and improve inefficient businesses within a year. In order to align incentives, each team member is rewarded with ~£1m cash bonuses in event of success, albeit with generous cash comp in event of failure. In the event of failure, the team members will be reassigned to different projects.
As execution becomes easier and context becomes less scarce, large numbers of inefficient and poorly-run businesses which neither be targeted by PE or the sole focus of a VC-backed startup; Telemachus' goal is to be the new sort of company which does this.

- Work in a lean team to clone, improve, and re-imagine a target business model using advanced AI tools like Cursor and Claude Code.
- Execute on a de-risked business plan, handling everything from operations to product development to reach aggressive revenue milestones.
- Help build out the core Telemachus platform to enable the rapid, aggressive scaling of multiple business units simultaneously.
Who you are
Who this is a fit for
- Academically elite with 1-4 years of experience and a track record of building "cool things" such as software, research, or previous business ventures.
- Highly proficient with AI coding tools and possessing the high agency required to navigate the ambiguity of zero-to-one building.
- Characterized by extreme earnestness, intelligence, and conscientiousness, with a desire to build real businesses rather than just pursuing traditional career paths.
