Role overview

You will develop and deploy advanced machine learning models across industrial environments as part of Forgis’ founding ML team. Working with time-series, vision, and NLP data, you’ll build Hyperion—an AI brain that orchestrates factory hardware, generates code, and runs causal AI agents on the edge to automate billion-dollar manufacturing sectors.

SoftwareZurich, SwitzerlandPre-Seed (VC-backed)

Forgis is a Zürich-based AI and software startup founded in 2025 that develops innovative, hardware- and application-agnostic software solutions to automate industrial machines and manufacturing plants. Their technology acts as an intelligent layer or AI co-pilot to accelerate robot programming, enhance factory automation, reduce downtime, increase throughput, and enable reshoring of production by making automation more cost-effective and flexible. Forgis targets the automotive and advanced manufacturing sectors, aiming to improve efficiency and productivity with AI-driven industrial intelligence.

Backed by Redalpine, Venture Kick, Founderful Campus, S2S Ventures, Talent Kick, Gebert Rüf Stiftung, Massimo Banzi, David Shapira, Tine Petric.

What you will do

  • Develop and deploy full-lifecycle ML models utilizing time-series, computer vision, and tabular data from real-world industrial environments.
  • Design and build automated pipelines that transform unused factory data into functional robot and PLC code.
  • Own the deployment of intelligence across edge, on-prem, and cloud levels to ensure seamless orchestration of manufacturing machines.

Who this is a fit for

  • Strong ML engineering foundation with specific expertise in at least two areas: time-series, computer vision, or MLOps on messy data.
  • High-caliber technical background, such as experience at frontier AI labs or academic excellence from top-tier technical universities like ETH.
  • Proven builder mindset with a valid EU/EEA/Swiss passport or Swiss degree and a notice period of three months or less.

Why this role is remarkable

  • Join the founding ML team of an ETH Zurich DNA startup backed by $4.5M from Redalpine to reshape global manufacturing.
  • Build AI that interacts with the physical world, deploying causal AI agents that directly control industrial hardware and robots.
  • High-ownership environment where you define the ML stack and receive meaningful equity in a fast-moving, pre-seed company.
