Realmforge is building an AI director for interactive entertainment, allowing players to live inside stories while AI generates the world around them. As the Senior Product Engineer (Platform) and sixth employee, you will work directly with our CTO—an ex-DeepMind PhD—to architect the systems that bring these narratives to life. This role offers the unique challenge of building a media-scale platform from scratch, managing everything from creator tools and payments to real-time AI delivery infrastructure. Backed by Tier 1 investors in SF and Europe, we are looking for an autonomous finisher ready to define the engineering foundations of AI storytelling in Copenhagen.

This powers a UGC platform where millions of creators can craft immersive experiences with nothing more than a story worth telling, and countless players can step inside these worlds and live them.
The goal is to build the most immersive kind of entertainment ever, and democratize creation beyond the usual suspects (Hollywood and AAA gaming studios).

What you will do
- Architect and build the systems for real-time delivery of AI narratives, focusing on large catalogs, media storage, and high-performance caching.
- Develop sophisticated creator tools that allow designers to shape the characters and settings that the AI engine then brings to life.
- Establish engineering foundations from scratch, including CI/CD pipelines, testing culture, and monitoring infrastructure to support rapid iteration.
Who this is a fit for
- Has 4–5+ years of hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js, with a proven track record of shipping and maintaining products.
- Demonstrates strong autonomy and a “finisher” mindset, capable of navigating ambiguous technical challenges and building robust backend services like queues.
- Is fluent with agentic engineering tools like Claude Code or Cursor and possesses the technical depth to orchestrate complex third-party API integrations.
