COO at Pesky Fish Ltd

As COO, you will lead Pesky Fish Ltd’s end-to-end physical operations from their new Bristol hub. You’ll architect a scalable supply chain for highly volatile, perishable inventory while co-building a custom digital operating system. This is a ground-up leadership role owning unit economics, team building, and the future of sustainable seafood distribution.

• Manage the entire 7,000 sqft Bristol facility, overseeing the storage, processing, and distribution of live shellfish and fresh fish with absolute quality control.
• Build and lead a high-performing operations team, including hiring a deputy Operations Manager to support end-to-end fulfillment and last-mile delivery.
• Optimize unit economics by managing labor, logistics, and infrastructure costs to achieve sustainable contribution margins while scaling toward £10M+ annual revenue.

• Deep experience leading end-to-end physical operations in highly time-sensitive, perishable sectors like fresh food, seafood, or rapid e-commerce fulfillment.
• A proven track record of scaling operations from early stages, with the ability to move fluidly between strategic system architecture and hands-on execution.
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with a mastery of KPIs, OKRs, and process optimization techniques to drive continuous improvement in complex supply chains.

• Take complete ownership of a blank-canvas supply chain model at a mission-driven company aiming to restore global fish stocks through regenerative trading.
• Lead the transition from manual processes to a fully digital operating system, working directly with the Head of Product to define the industry’s future.
• Join a high-growth startup with £4-5M in pipeline and proven traction, where your operational decisions directly impact revenue and net profitability within months.
