Founding Engineer at Alcor Labs

Join as the first engineering hire building AI co-pilots for manual workers in energy and datacenter infrastructure. You will develop custom vision-language models for smart glasses that automate reporting and provide real-time guidance. Work alongside technical founders to ship agentic systems already deployed at multiple multi-billion dollar companies.

• Design and implement custom vision-language models (VLMs) optimized for real-time scene understanding on AR smart glasses.
• Build agentic vision systems that autonomously generate technical reports and surface institutional knowledge for field technicians.
• Deploy production-ready ML models to Fortune 500 environments, iterating rapidly based on direct feedback from users in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

• Early-career high-achiever with deep experience in vision AI, including VLMs, Gaussian Splatting, NeRFs, or embodied AI research.
• Background in AR or wearables, ideally having worked on vision systems at Meta Reality Labs or a similar high-performance research environment.
• Strong builder mindset with less than 7 years of experience, a degree from a top-tier university, and the drive to thrive in an early-stage startup.
