Role overview

You will own the entire surface where Hyground meets developers and IT leaders. This solo role manages a €150k annual budget, encompassing the conference calendar, speaking slots, a new podcast/video series, and invite-only executive dinners. You’ll build a technical community and turn presence into a measurable pipeline for the Go-to-Market team.

Hyground builds an AI agent that investigates production incidents for teams running business-critical software on Kubernetes. When an alert fires, the agent works through Kubernetes events, metrics, logs, traces and deployment history the way a senior SRE would, then hands the on-call engineer the likely causes with the evidence behind them. It runs inside the customer’s own cluster with whatever LLM they choose, reads by default and only writes with a human’s approval, which is why regulated companies can use it where a vendor-hosted tool is off the table. Deutsche Bahn, ifm and MaibornWolff run it in production, and those customers have seen incident resolution times drop by up to 80%.

The company was founded in Hamburg in 2025 by Dominik Rehbock (CEO, previously Bain & Company), Benjamin Hofmann (CPO) and Bastian de Groot (CTO). Benjamin and Bastian spent about a decade in software operations and SRE before spinning Hyground out of MaibornWolff, and the product grew out of on-call problems they saw first-hand on client projects. Hyground raised a EUR 3M pre-seed round led by Partech, with Adesso Ventures, Angel Invest and Plug and Play, announced at KubeCon Europe in March 2026, and is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified. The team is about 16 people, most of them engineers, and sells first to German and European enterprises where data sovereignty decides the deal.

What you will do

  • Manage the annual €150k event budget and decide which industry conferences, meetups, and sponsorships deserve Hyground’s presence and investment.
  • Launch and host a bi-weekly podcast and video series, handling everything from format definition and guest booking to in-house production.
  • Curate and host exclusive, invite-only dinners for C-level IT leaders in Germany, converting attendance into a high-quality sales pipeline.

Who this is a fit for

  • 4+ years of experience running events, community, or field marketing in B2B, specifically for technical audiences like SREs and developers.
  • Professional fluency in German (C2/Native) and English, with residence in Germany and willingness to travel frequently across the DACH region.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and make high-stakes decisions with incomplete data, documenting reasoning and measuring pipeline impact honestly.

Why this role is remarkable

  • Full ownership of a €150k budget and the entire event strategy without a committee or agency, reporting directly to the GTM Lead.
  • Backed by a €3M pre-seed round led by Partech, Hyground is scaling rapidly, growing from 5 to 16 people in under a year.
  • The opportunity to build a high-impact technical community from scratch, including launching a podcast and designing a user summit for 2027.
