Role overview
Scarlet certifies AI products on behalf of governments.
Today, Scarlet specialises in the certification of software and AI as medical devices (SaMD and AIaMD). As the only Notified Body in Europe specialising exclusively in certifying software and AI, Scarlet accelerates the transition to universally accessible healthcare by enabling manufacturers to certify their medical devices efficiently and make frequent software releases. Scarlet provides dual UK and EU market access.
What you will do
- Act as the super-user for Scarlet’s ATS and HRIS (Ashby, Rippling, and Deel), building AI-integrated workflows and automations that make foundational data systematic.
- Empower hiring managers globally by creating the tooling, templates, and scheduling frameworks required to source and hire top-tier talent at a rapid pace.
- Design and execute world-class onboarding journeys, managing employee contracting, EOR relationships, and multi-jurisdictional payroll to ensure every new teammate is productive from day one.
Who this is a fit for
- Has 1-3 years of experience in operations or startup environments, demonstrating a first-principles approach and a hunger for high-stakes ownership in a fast-growth setting.
- Possesses a “builder” mindset rather than a traditional HR background, instinctively reaching for LLMs and AI automation tools to solve complex business operations.
- Demonstrates exceptional communication skills and experience with modern HR tools like Ashby or Deel, particularly within multi-jurisdictional or high-growth startup contexts.
Why this role is remarkable
- Join Europe’s only Notified Body specializing in AI medical devices, a mission-driven company authorized by governments to pull medical technology from the future.
- Work in a high-growth environment backed by Creandum and Entrepreneur First, featuring product-market fit, exponentially growing revenue, and a team of 65 scaling fast.
- Gain unparalleled ownership over global people systems, moving from theory to execution as you build the infrastructure for an international, high-performing organization.
