Role overview

Join a lean, high-impact team at Caribou to revolutionize transfer pricing for scaling businesses. Working directly with the founders, you will solve complex TP problems using technology rather than manual consultancy. This role offers direct client exposure and a chance to shape a product that automates benchmarking, documentation, and inter-group agreements.

Caribou is a tax technology company that specializes in transfer pricing solutions for multi-entity and globally expanding companies, with a particular focus on SaaS and other high-growth businesses.[4][3] The platform helps organizations scale internationally without overpaying tax or relying heavily on traditional Big Four tax consultants by automating key aspects of transfer pricing compliance.[3][4] Caribou generates and maintains intra-group agreements, transfer pricing policies, and benchmarking analyses to align intercompany transactions with international tax regulations.[4][2] It creates intragroup agreements, intercompany loan documents, and licensing contracts between entities, and monitors changes in group structure so that documentation stays up to date.[2] The system also supports preparation of local and master file documentation, benchmarking studies, and accounting implementation to meet OECD and other transfer pricing documentation requirements.[2] In addition, Caribou offers ongoing access to tax experts (e.g., via Slack or Teams) and integrates into a broader finance and tax stack through a vetted partner network, providing a comprehensive, software-enabled alternative to traditional transfer pricing advisory services.[2][7]

What you will do

  • Manage end-to-end transfer pricing lifecycles, including benchmarking, documentation, and drafting robust intra-group agreements for global clients.
  • Collaborate with the product team to automate complex tax workflows, ensuring the platform accounts for VAT, permanent establishment, and R&D considerations.
  • Act as a technical lead and commercial partner for finance teams at scaling companies, providing expert guidance on OECD guidelines and local regulations.

Who this is a fit for

  • Has 3–6 years of specialist transfer pricing experience, ideally with a foundational background at a Big Four firm (KPMG, Deloitte, PwC, or EY).
  • Possesses deep technical knowledge of OECD guidelines and is comfortable navigating the nuances of multi-jurisdictional tax compliance for technology firms.
  • Demonstrates a commercial mindset and an eagerness to transition from traditional practice into a high-growth, tech-first startup environment.

Why this role is remarkable

  • Join a YC-backed fintech disruptor moving beyond traditional Big Four consultancy to build a scalable transfer pricing automation product.
  • Work directly with Co-Founder James Boreham (ex-KPMG) in a tight-knit team of ten, ensuring high ownership and zero corporate bureaucracy.
  • Gain equity participation in a fast-growing startup while tackling diverse TP challenges across international SaaS and growth-stage companies.
