Role overview
Aristotle is a for-profit, voice-first AI tutoring platform designed for students aged 13–18 and marketed directly to parents, with tutoring delivered through real-time spoken conversations between students and an AI tutor.[1][3] The service focuses on helping middle school, high school, and early postsecondary students build deep understanding in math and science, offering 1:1 virtual tutoring sessions. Aristotle emphasizes learning science and pedagogy, designing its AI tutor to teach like the best human tutors by guiding students through reasoning and problem-solving rather than just providing answers, and grounding product decisions in peer‑reviewed research on effective tutoring and focus.[3][8][5] The company operates in San Franciso, serves families nationwide, and has raised several million dollars in venture funding to build what it describes as the world’s first truly personal AI tutor.[1][2][3]
