Product / Software Engineer at Electric Twin

Most organizations make massive decisions based on gut feel. Join a London-based team backed by over £10M in funding to build the software that changes that. Led by founders with deep experience at the highest levels of government data and mass testing, this startup uses AI-powered synthetic audiences to simulate human responses in real-time. If you are a product-minded engineer who loves Python, React, and shipping features that solve complex orchestration problems without the hype, this is a rare chance to shape a platform while it's still malleable.

About this role

Role overview

You will build critical decision infrastructure that uses AI-powered synthetic audiences to simulate human behavior. Working directly with hands-on founders, you'll evolve a platform that replaces guesswork with evidence-based modeling. This role requires an execution-focused engineer who can navigate ambiguity and bridge the gap between complex AI orchestration and intuitive product design.

About the company

Electric Twin

Electric Twin

Software

Electric Twin builds science-based synthetic populations and tools for interacting with them, enabling companies and governments to predict human attitudes and behaviour with high accuracy. Their technology creates simulations of real-world populations for rapid and scalable insights. Electric Twin was founded by the former Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister on Digital and Data and the former Director of Mass Testing, aiming to solve the problems they faced in understanding human behaviour during the pandemic. The team includes experts with backgrounds in data strategy, government, and advanced AI product development.

What you'll do

What you will do

  • Orchestrate complex AI components into a reliable, explainable system that provides trustworthy outputs for high-stakes decision making.
  • Own the entire product lifecycle from vague problem definition to polished execution, balancing rapid momentum with long-term system health.

Who you are

Who this is a fit for

  • Proven experience building robust web applications with a modern stack including React, Python, and cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred).
  • A "thinking engineer" mindset with the ability to thrive in an environment without perfectly specified tickets or rigid corporate ceremony.
  • Strong technical judgment and a bias toward action, comfortable working 4 days a week in a high-intensity London-based office environment.

Why this role

  • Work with a high-pedigree founding team including the former Chief Advisor to the PM on Digital and Data and the former Director of Mass Testing.
  • Join a post-seed startup with over £10M in funding that is solving the massive problem of how organizations model human response to uncertainty.
  • High-impact opportunity where your architectural decisions on APIs and system boundaries will shape the platform’s trajectory for years to come.
