Role overview

As the first in-house recruiter at this Costanoa Ventures-backed company, you will build the entire talent function from the ground up. You'll partner directly with the CEO to scale the team from 15 to 55+ members over the next year, owning full-cycle technical and GTM hiring while establishing the company's long-term recruiting culture and infrastructure.

What you'll do

What you will do

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts across engineering, product, and GTM functions, personally managing sourcing, interviewing, and closing senior-level candidates.
  • Design and implement the company's foundational recruiting stack, including Ashby ATS configuration, referral programs, and standardized interview processes.
  • Develop proactive outbound sourcing strategies using advanced boolean search and modern AI recruiting tools to maintain a high-signal candidate pipeline.

  • Demonstrated success as a first recruiter at a startup under 50 people, with a focus on sourcing and closing rather than just coordination.
  • Ability to recruit for both deeply technical roles like ML engineering and high-velocity GTM roles like Account Executives and Sales Engineers.
  • Located in San Francisco and eager to work in-office four days a week near Montgomery BART to foster a high-intensity culture.
