Lead Data Engineer at LightWork AI

As the first senior data hire, you will architect and build the foundation of LightWork AI’s data infrastructure. You will design real-time pipelines, vector search systems, and machine learning workflows that power Felicity. This high-impact role involves setting engineering standards and scaling the data backbone of a category-defining AI platform.

• Architect and maintain scalable data ingestion, transformation, and storage systems for real-time and batch AI workloads.
• Build and optimize vector databases and ML data pipelines to support retrieval-augmented generation and intelligent automation.
• Set data engineering standards and eventually mentor and build out the future data team as the company scales.

• 7+ years of experience in data or backend engineering, specifically building distributed data systems and production pipelines.
• Deep proficiency in Python and experience with a modern stack including PostgreSQL, NoSQL, and vector databases like Qdrant or Milvus.
• A builder mindset with experience in high-growth startups and the ability to design architectures from first principles.
