Backend Engineer at Capture Energy

You will build the backbone of Capture’s SupplyOS, developing high-throughput, event-driven architectures for wholesale market trading and industry data flows. Working with a team from Octopus and Kraken, you’ll automate complex operational processes and turn emerging energy market definitions into production-grade systems that interact with the physical grid daily.

• Design and build high-throughput, event-driven architectures that serve as the heart of Capture’s interaction with the electricity market.
• Develop and automate SupplyOS components, ranging from wholesale trading systems to customer-facing supplier platforms and complex data flows.
• Collaborate with engineers and operators to transform vague market definitions into simple, automated systems that manage real-world physical assets.

• Has 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience with strong Python fundamentals and a track record of building production-grade systems.
• Demonstrates a founder-like mindset with the ability to digest complex technical specifications and turn uncertainty into clear, scalable code.
