Role overview
You will join the LeanX team to build and scale backend systems powering cross-border payments and embedded wallets across a $50B+ addressable market. Working with Java and Python, you’ll design high-availability infrastructure that integrates with blockchain networks and traditional banks, taking full ownership of architectural decisions in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

What you will do
- Design and maintain high-availability backend services using Java (Quarkus) and Python to process complex financial transactions and data.
- Build deep integrations with external payment providers, global exchange houses, and blockchain networks to enable seamless money movement.
- Own the end-to-end reliability and security of financial data, ensuring consistency across distributed systems and modern analytical databases like ClickHouse.
Who this is a fit for
- Brings over 5 years of experience building production-grade backend systems using modern Java (17+) frameworks and hands-on Python.
- Possesses a strong background in high-throughput environments, with specific knowledge of relational databases, event streaming, and secure coding practices.
- Demonstrates experience or deep interest in crypto/blockchain products, including wallets, custody, and interacting with on-chain data via Web3 libraries.
