Architect at Thought Machine

As an Architect in the Expert Services team, you will bridge pre-sales and delivery to modernize core banking and payment systems for global financial leaders. You will define target architectures, design end-to-end solutions using Vault, and provide strategic consultancy to senior stakeholders, ensuring high-availability and scalable infrastructure for the world’s largest banks.

• Design end-to-end core banking replacement solutions and migration plans, presenting complex architectures and best practices to senior client stakeholders and business leaders.
• Apply advanced architectural patterns including event-driven architecture, CQRS, and process orchestration to ensure high-availability and disaster recovery across multi-region cloud environments.
• Consult independently with clients to define target architectures, defending technical positions while feeding critical field insights back into the core product development team.

• Extensive experience designing enterprise architectures for large financial institutions, specifically within core banking or payments domains and their associated regulatory landscapes.
• Deep technical proficiency in cloud-native technologies, multi-AZ/multi-region HA/DR patterns, and modern architectural frameworks like event-driven systems and microservices.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to articulate technical strategy to a diverse audience of enterprise architects, engineers, and C-suite executives.

• Work on some of the largest core banking transformations in the industry, replacing legacy systems at tier-1 global banks like Intesa Sanpaolo and Standard Chartered.
