Role overview
Recall.ai provides a universal API and SDKs to capture recordings, transcripts, and metadata from video conferencing platforms including Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack Huddles, Cisco Webex, GoTo Meeting, and in-person meetings. It offers meeting bot APIs, desktop and mobile recording SDKs that record without bots joining calls, calendar integration, storage, and playback, enabling developers to build AI products on conversation data with high security, compliance, and scalability. Over 3000 companies use it to process millions of hours of meeting data.
What you will do
- Own the retention and growth of 10–15 high-ACV strategic accounts, moving them from initial signing to full deployment and multi-product expansion.
- Build the foundational AM function from the ground up, creating the health signals, communication cadences, and early-warning churn prevention playbooks that do not yet exist.
- Partner with engineering teams to unblock technical integrations, navigating complex organizational politics to bridge the gap between technical teams and executive buyers.
Who this is a fit for
- 4–7 years in technical, customer-facing roles such as SE or AM at a developer-tools or API company, with a proven track record of meeting NRR goals.
- High technical credibility with engineering buyers, capable of navigating APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines independently without needing sales engineering support to earn customer trust.
- Experience working in a startup with fewer than 50 people and a tenure of at least 2+ years at a single company, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
Why this role is remarkable
- Join a high-growth Series B startup as the first dedicated Account Manager, giving you total ownership over the function’s strategy, account tiers, and playbooks.
- Manage a portfolio of world-class strategic accounts including Salesforce, HubSpot, and ClickUp, with a product growing 3x year-over-year in a massive greenfield market.
- Work in a high-energy, in-person San Francisco culture with premium perks including 100% health coverage, fully catered meals, and covered transportation via Uber or Waymo.
