Role overview
As the first US hire for Plinth.org.uk, you will spearhead the company’s American expansion. About Plinth
Plinth.org.uk is an established UK-based charity-tech leader using AI to transform philanthropy for over 15,000 foundations and nonprofits. After dominating the British market, they are now expanding into the United States to help American grantmakers and community foundations streamline their operations and maximize their social impact.
What you will do
- Execute a high-touch outreach strategy targeting US foundations, prioritizing thoughtful, relationship-based engagement and confident cold calling over mass automation.
- Own the end-to-end sales pipeline, representing Plinth.org.uk at major philanthropy conferences and hosting targeted events to build deep trust with key decision-makers.
- Collaborate directly with the UK-based CEO to refine market entry while nurturing relationships with early US consulting clients to generate warm referrals.
Who this is a fit for
- Possesses a callable professional network within US philanthropy, specifically with program officers and grants managers at community, private, or corporate foundations.
- Demonstrates a proven track record of independent initiative, ideally having built programs or systems from scratch in an ambiguous, startup-like environment.
- Exhibits exceptional listening skills and the ability to navigate mission-driven sales cycles where long-term social impact is the primary client motivator.
Why this role is remarkable
- Join a proven UK market leader as their first US employee, with the unique opportunity to build the American market strategy from the ground up.
- Enjoy immense autonomy and founder-level freedom to shape the US playbook without the constraints of a rigid corporate sales engine.
- Benefit from a high-reward commission structure where you keep 50% of the new ARR you bring in during your first year.
