Cubitts, Sales & GTM
Store Manager at Cubitts
- Location
- Dublin, Ireland
- Compensation
- €48k per year
Cubitts is crossing the Irish Sea to open its first European flagship on South William Street, and we’re looking for a Store Manager to hand-pick a founding team and lead this historic launch from the ground up. This is a rare, high-impact opportunity for a sharp, resilient retail leader with deep Dublin roots to own the full commercial and cultural expansion of a premium spectacles brand while building a unique community home within the city's Creative Quarter, ensuring every eye exam and bespoke frame reflects our commitment to innovation and craft.
Role overview
As the first Dublin hire for Cubitts, you will spearhead our European expansion by launching our flagship store. You will recruit and lead a high-performing team of five, manage commercial performance, and serve as a brand ambassador. This role offers the unique opportunity to build a local community presence from the ground up.
About Cubitts
Cubitts is an independent spectacle maker, founded in King’s Cross, London, in 2013.
We’re fascinated by the intersection of design, engineering and the human face. By materials, proportion, construction and the small details that make an object exceptional. We believe good design should be accessible, that things should be made to last, and that repair is always preferable to replacement.
But Cubitts is about more than spectacles. Our world draws on architecture, art, history, science, craftsmanship and the peculiarities of everyday life. We take inspiration from unexpected places, celebrate individuality and believe there’s always room for a little irreverence.
We’re serious about what we make. Less serious about ourselves.
Today, Cubitts has stores across the UK and New York, alongside our workshops, made-to-measure and bespoke services, and online at cubitts.com.
What you will do
- Recruit, develop, and lead a founding team of five, creating personalized development pathways and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Drive the store’s commercial success and operational excellence, managing KPIs while delivering a seamless bespoke and made-to-measure customer experience.
- Act as the primary Cubitts ambassador in Dublin, building local partnerships and engaging the community with the brand’s story, values, and craft.
Who this is a fit for
- Proven experience running a premium or optical retail store in Dublin with a deep understanding of the local customer landscape and community.
- Strong leadership background with a track record of hiring, training, and scaling teams rather than just managing inherited staff structures.
- Commercially sharp professional who can analyze performance data to make confident, calculated risks and optimize store operations independently.
Why this role is remarkable
- Lead the prestigious launch of Cubitts’ first-ever store in Europe, located in a historic 1890s red-brick building in Dublin’s Creative Quarter.
- Total ownership of the recruitment process, allowing you to hand-pick and build your founding team of specialists and associates from day one.
- Direct impact on the brand’s international strategy, with full support from the London headquarters and a three-month dedicated onboarding period.
