$40M Series A to make warm introductions at the scale of the internet

Today we’re announcing our $40M Series A, led by Air Street Capital with participation from Creandum and Madrona, to move faster toward a job market where every person and company has an agent in their corner.

Jack is an AI agent for your career. Jill is an AI agent for hiring. When Jack and Jill agree there’s a match, they introduce the candidate and company directly, skipping the application altogether.

We believe connecting an agent on either side of the job market is how it will finally run like clockwork.

That matters because the decisions we make about our careers are among the most important of our lives. And yet finding a job you love is still left to chance.

We can weigh every option when ordering food, booking a cab, or planning a holiday. But finding fulfilling work? It’s impossible to consider all our options, even though work shapes most of our waking hours, who we become, and what we get the chance to build.

Until now, recruitment has forced a choice between scale and understanding.

Job boards and LinkedIn bring options, but leave people to do the work, often without ever hearing back. Great recruiters bring judgment, context, and a personal touch, but can only represent a handful of clients at a time.

Only some professionals are fortunate enough to have a network they can use; even then, it covers a tiny corner of what’s out there. As a result, 99% of opportunities, including roles they could love and thrive in, go unseen.

Companies face the same problem. The right person for a role is out there somewhere, but finding them is far harder than it should be.

“Candidates struggle to be seen, while employers cannot tell who is serious. More applications and better filters will not solve that. It requires a fundamentally different solution: a network brokered by agents that understand what both sides want.”

Saaras Mehan
Co-Founder and CTO, Jack & Jill

For the first time, AI agents can combine the infinite scale of the internet with the personal touch of a thoughtful introduction.

380,000 people in San Francisco, New York and London are talking to Jack, a voice agent, about what they want in their careers. Over 5,000 companies are hiring with Jill, including Corgi, Ramp, Multiverse, Maze and Attio.

Every day, Jack and Jill make introductions that change people’s lives. A ticker board on our office wall updates with each one. Hearing it tick over reminds us of the human impact every introduction represents.

“The next leap in hiring will not come from better searches over the same resumes or more automated outreach. It will come from putting an agent on both sides of the table and making the introduction only when both sides would take the call.”

Nathan Benaich
General Partner, Air Street Capital

We don’t take lightly the effect AI is having on the job market. But we believe the same technology can be a net force for good.

If you want to join us on that goal, we’re hiring across San Francisco, New York, and London. Open roles are available at jackandjill.ai/about-us.
