As a Founding Applied AI Engineer at Healink, Inc., you will own core systems from the patient-facing UI to complex AI pipelines. You’ll bridge the gap between technical excellence and clinical needs, building production-grade LLM workflows that guide patients through their care. This is a high-impact, full-stack role shaping the engineering culture.

Healink, Inc. is an AI-powered care-coordination platform for dental practices. Built by dentists, it helps patients understand treatment plans, costs, insurance, and financing, while sending personalized follow-ups and enabling appointment requests. The platform integrates with practice-management systems and provides patient reactivation, treatment-coordinator tools, dashboards, analytics, and optional managed coordination services to help dental practices increase treatment acceptance and completion.
What you will do
- Design and operate production LLM-powered workflows, managing evaluations, guardrails, latency, and cost to ensure reliable patient experiences.
- Architect scalable data models and infrastructure using React, Node.js, and Python that support 10x-100x growth without requiring a total rewrite.
- Partner with founders to define product areas, shaping UX flows and clinical information presentation to make complex medical data feel simple.
Who this is a fit for
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of owning systems end-to-end rather than just completing tickets.
- Proven experience launching and maintaining production AI/ML features, including managing model iteration, hallucination mitigation, and safety guardrails.
- Strong full-stack capabilities in React, Node.js, and Python, with the ability to take products from 0-to-1 while ensuring systems scale.
