Infrastructure Engineer (Platform) at H Company
- Location
- London, United Kingdom
- Compensation
- Not Disclosed
H Company is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer in London to drive their move from AWS to a truly environment-agnostic platform. This isn't just about managing cloud resources; you’ll be building Kubernetes-native services, scaling multi-cluster networking, and ensuring AI models can deploy anywhere from Azure to on-prem environments.
Working directly with VP of Engineering Ceiran Chapman, you’ll own the transition of a high-growth platform that serves as the foundation for H Company’s entire product line. If you have deep experience in Go, Python, and scaling K8s platforms, this is your chance to own a major architectural evolution.
Role overview
Join H Company to lead the architectural shift from AWS-specific infrastructure to a portable, environment-agnostic platform. You will own the full lifecycle of Kubernetes-native services, scaling clusters and networking to support rapid model releases. This is a high-impact role building the bedrock for enterprise-grade AI deployment at significant scale.
About H Company
Artificial Intelligence · 130+ employees
H Company is a French artificial intelligence research lab and agentic platform that develops computer-use AI models and autonomous agents. Its technology can navigate and operate web, desktop, and other enterprise software interfaces directly, without requiring dedicated APIs, to automate multi-step business workflows. The company offers AI models, agents, APIs, and enterprise deployment services focused on operational automation and productivity.
What you will do
- Build and operate Kubernetes-native services, including custom controllers and operators, while refactoring the entire stack to be portable across all major cloud providers.
- Run and scale complex multi-cluster networking and security systems, implementing authentication and authorization frameworks to support diverse external customer environments.
- Accelerate deployment cycles for Forward Deployed Engineers by maintaining robust infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and high-fidelity observability with a focus on cost-efficiency.
Who this is a fit for
- Proficient in Python or Go, with a track record of writing production software and Kubernetes-native tools rather than just simple scripts or configuration files.
- Proven experience building and operating Kubernetes-based platforms at significant scale, demonstrating clear metrics around cluster management, service reliability, and user growth across multiple clouds.
- Deep expertise in infrastructure as code and low-level systems engineering, specifically Linux internals, eBPF, or advanced networking CNIs like Cilium or Calico for complex topologies.
Why this role is remarkable
- Own a critical architectural pivot, moving H Company’s entire estate from AWS-specific to a truly environment-agnostic platform that runs on Azure, GCP, and customer on-prem sites.
- Work on novel, high-stakes infrastructure problems where each new model release and customer deployment shifts the scaling and security requirements of the underlying Kubernetes clusters.
- High-growth environment under the leadership of VP of Engineering Ceiran Chapman, offering a senior-level seat with true ownership over the solution, not just a ticket backlog.
