Role overview

As a Product Engineer at infact.io, you will build and operate Go microservices powering real-time B2B APIs on AWS. Reporting to the CTO, you’ll own features end-to-end, from design through production. This role combines high-quality engineering with a product-first mindset to directly impact how consumers access financial services through modern, scalable infrastructure.

Software

Infact operates as the UK’s first real-time credit bureau, providing lenders with instant, accurate, and comprehensive credit information through a single API.

Their API-driven products are designed for the digital age, enabling lenders to search, report, and manage credit information in real time. Infact delivers advanced solutions for credit risk, fraud detection, affordability assessment, and reporting, focusing on up-to-date data, responsible lending, financial inclusion, and regulatory compliance.

Their platform serves regulated lenders in digital financial services, driving innovation by improving outcomes for consumers and credit providers while promoting fairness and transparency in credit reporting.

What you will do

  • Develop, test, and maintain mission-critical Go microservices within a modern AWS environment including Fargate, Lambda, Aurora Postgres, and DynamoDB.
  • Own the entire feature lifecycle, contributing to technical design discussions and ensuring high standards of code quality and design taste in production.
  • Leverage AI tools like Claude to accelerate development speed and code quality while maintaining full accountability and understanding of your technical output.

Who this is a fit for

  • Possesses 1-3 years of commercial software engineering experience with Go as the primary language or a significant project history in the language.
  • Demonstrates a strong product instinct, prioritizing user outcomes over simple ticket completion and pushing back on designs that do not solve core problems.
  • Has practical experience or a keen interest in modern DevOps practices, including AWS infrastructure, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

Why this role is remarkable

  • Join a high-trajectory fintech backed by £4M in seed funding from AlbionVC and founded by industry veterans who previously built products for Experian.
  • Enjoy true ownership and mentorship from a senior team with deep pedigree at top-tier organizations like Microsoft, PayPal, Visa, and NatWest.
  • Work at the cutting edge of credit infrastructure, replacing slow legacy batch systems with real-time, API-first solutions that solve genuine industry pain points.
