Moring AI, Engineering
Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer at Moring AI
- Location
- Atlanta, United States
- Compensation
- $200k-$240k + Equity
Moring AI is looking for a Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer in Atlanta to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI and enterprise production. This isn't a role for building "slideware"—you'll be shipping agents and RAG systems live inside the private clouds of regulated, Fortune 500 organizations.
With $200k-$240k total compensation and meaningful equity in a profitable, early-stage startup, you'll work directly with the CTO to build core platform primitives and lead on-site client integrations. If you have 8+ years of AWS experience and a year of deep AI building, join a lean team where your work reaches serious scale fast.
Role overview
As a Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer at Moring AI, you will build and deploy LLM-powered applications directly within enterprise customer environments. Combining deep AWS infrastructure expertise with recent AI engineering depth, you’ll own the full stack—from agent orchestration and evaluation harnesses to on-site client integrations and technical discovery.
About Moring AI
Moring builds and deploys governed enterprise AI applications and agents for regulated industries, particularly financial services and other compliance-heavy organizations. Its AI Control Plane provides agent identity, access controls, policy enforcement, approval workflows, observability, and audit records. Moring’s engineers work within customers’ cloud or on-premises environments to design, build, deploy, and hand over production AI solutions for workflows such as onboarding, KYC, lending exceptions, reconciliation, incident triage, and root-cause analysis.
What you will do
- Design and ship production-grade agents and RAG pipelines using Anthropic, OpenAI, and Bedrock, while managing cost, latency, and reliability.
- Build the core AI platform, including model routing, agent orchestration with LangGraph or CrewAI, and automated evaluation harnesses wired into CI/CD.
- Lead customer deployments by integrating AI systems with enterprise identity (SSO), data warehouses, and systems of record like Salesforce and SAP.
Who this is a fit for
- 8-12 years of software engineering experience with deep AWS production expertise (EKS, Lambda, IAM) and a strong background in platform engineering.
- Demonstrable experience building LLM applications, agents, or RAG systems over the last year, with a focus on non-deterministic system evaluation.
- Strong customer-facing skills and the ability to navigate enterprise InfoSec reviews while communicating technical trade-offs to business stakeholders.
Why this role is remarkable
- True Production AI: Unlike many AI startups, Moring AI is already profitable and ships live agents into the private clouds of regulated enterprises, not just demos.
- End-to-End Ownership: You will drive architecture for AI platform primitives, model-access layers, and automated evaluation harnesses while working directly with the founder and CTO.
- High-Impact Fieldwork: You’ll spend up to 30% of your time embedded with client teams, solving complex security and integration challenges for Fortune 500 organizations.
