Role overview
As a team of one, you will own the entire IT function at Hearth. You’ll resolve daily tickets, build scalable onboarding processes, and manage a MacBook fleet while leading SOC2 compliance efforts. This is a high-impact role where you will automate workflows with AI and shape the future of IT operations.

Its tools include customer relationship management, digital estimates and quotes, contracts, invoicing, payment collection, customer financing, marketing support, banking tools, and AI-powered lead management and follow-up. Hearth serves trades including roofing, HVAC, plumbing, landscaping, pools, siding, flooring, fencing, and other residential contracting businesses.
What you will do
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of the MacBook fleet, including provisioning, MDM administration, security updates, and equipment deployment for all employees.
- Lead the operational side of SOC2 compliance via Vanta, partnering with People Operations to ensure the company remains audit-ready and secure at scale.
- Architect and document mission-critical processes for onboarding and offboarding to ensure every new hire has a seamless, professional first-day experience.
Who this is a fit for
- Proven experience as the primary IT point person or lead at a startup or similar environment, capable of operating independently without hand-holding.
- Deep expertise in Mac fleet administration and MDM tools, coupled with a solid working knowledge of SOC2 compliance requirements and implementation.
- Excellent written communication skills for Slack-based support and the ability to be on-site five days a week in the SoHo office.
