Facilities & Site Operations Lead at BlueDot Impact

You will own the operations and launch of BlueDot Impact’s new 53,000 sq ft San Francisco campus. This hands-on leadership role involves managing a high-stakes building opening, overseeing technical build-outs, and establishing world-class facilities, IT, and security standards for 250+ daily users, including organizations working on sensitive AI safety research.

• Orchestrate the full opening of the Yerba Buena site, ensuring mission-critical systems like access control, fiber-optic networking, and HVAC are operational from day one.
• Manage designers and contractors through complex build-out phases while floors remain occupied, requiring expert coordination in a heritage building with no service lift.
• Hire and lead a site operations team of five, managing the year-one budget and establishing high-standard runbooks for maintenance, catering, and lab-grade security.

• Has proven experience as a facilities or site operations lead for a tech HQ or R&D lab of at least 50,000 sq ft.
• Possesses deep technical knowledge to diagnose HVAC, electrical, and network issues personally, rather than relying solely on third-party contractors.
• Demonstrates a track record of opening sites on fixed deadlines and managing vendors to high standards, including making difficult performance-based replacement decisions.

• Take total ownership of a landmark 53,000 sq ft Yerba Buena campus, with potential to scale operations up to 160,000 sq ft as the organization grows.
