Dwelly is hiring an Applied AI Engineer to build the agentic infrastructure powering the UK’s largest residential lettings operator. You will design core primitives for memory, orchestration, and evaluation to automate complex real-world workflows at scale.
If you are a seasoned engineer who thinks in terms of tools, feedback loops, and production reliability rather than just prompt wrappers, this is your chance to shape the future of agentic engineering in a high-growth environment.
Role overview
You will build the agentic infrastructure powering Dwelly’s automation as they scale their network of 15,000 properties. This role focuses on turning complex operational workflows into reliable production systems using LLMs. You’ll move beyond simple prototypes to create reusable AI primitives, robust evaluation frameworks, and sophisticated multi-agent orchestration layers.

What you will do
- Design and build core agentic primitives including memory, context management, tool-calling, and feedback loops for production use.
- Develop robust evaluation and observability frameworks to trace, debug, and validate AI agent performance before deployment.
- Integrate complex operational workflows from newly acquired agencies into standardized AI-driven systems to enable massive scale.
Who this is a fit for
- Strong software engineering background with significant experience delivering complex, high-reliability production systems independently from idea through to launch.
- Proven experience building agentic AI systems that leverage tool-calling, structured outputs, and sophisticated orchestration in real-world business environments.
- Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js or Python, with a strong commitment to using coding agents as part of a high-leverage development workflow.
Why this role is remarkable
- Join an elite 8-person engineering team with direct access to founders following a massive $170M Series B funding round.
- Work with real-world data and high-stakes workflows where AI agents control $470 million in GMV across thousands of properties.
- Shape the architecture of a production AI platform from the ground up, moving beyond research into building reliable, agentic systems.
