Founding Engineer at Seisa

Location
London, United Kingdom
Compensation
Not Disclosed

Join Seisa as a Founding Engineer and build the knowledge graph infrastructure that serves as the institutional memory for private markets investors. Based in London and backed by a recent funding round, we are a lean team creating sophisticated tools to trace every fact, figure, and decision back to its source.

You will own the full technical stack—from LLM extraction and retrieval to graph database architecture—working directly with customers to ship high-impact features. This is a rare opportunity to shape a product from its earliest stages while defining the engineering standards for a next-generation investment data platform.

Role overview

You will lead the development of knowledge graph infrastructure and AI-driven extraction tools for private market firms. As a founding engineer in a lean team, you will own the entire lifecycle from LLM retrieval and agents to secure deployment, directly impacting how deal teams manage complex data and firm-wide decision-making.

About Seisa

Software / Artificial Intelligence · 1-10 employees

Seisa builds the knowledge graph and retrieval layer that AI agents in private markets run on. Funds sit on years of deal documents, models and notes that today’s tools can’t reason over. We turn that into a living graph agents can query and trust. We’re a small, technical, London-based founding team, building in the office with real customers. We hire engineers who want to own hard systems end to end.

Open roles at Seisa

What you will do

  • Design and implement knowledge graph infrastructure using Python and TypeScript to model complex relationships between companies, people, and financial decisions.
  • Develop and optimize LLM-based extraction and retrieval pipelines, ensuring every fact is accurately dated, traced to its source, and securely deployed on Google Cloud.
  • Collaborate directly with investors and deal teams to iterate on product features, from web app interfaces to integrated AI assistants and agents.

Who this is a fit for

  • Demonstrates deep expertise in Python and TypeScript with a track record of shipping production-ready code quickly using modern AI-assisted development tools.
  • Possesses strong domain knowledge in data modeling—specifically property graphs or Postgres—and has experience resolving complex entities while maintaining rigorous data evaluation.
  • Thrives in a high-ownership, low-process environment, showing the judgement needed to build secure, reliable infrastructure for sophisticated enterprise users without needing a platform team.

Why this role is remarkable

  • Join as a founding engineer in an early-stage startup that raised funding last autumn to shape the core product and engineering culture from the ground up.
  • Work at the intersection of property graph databases and LLM orchestration, building tools that provide a “memory” for investment firms with strict data provenance.
  • Enjoy high autonomy and end-to-end ownership in a lean technical team where you ship fast with AI coding tools and interact directly with customers.
