Role overview
As the third founding engineer, you will own the entire tech stack and help define the engineering culture from a Shoreditch-based office. You’ll build an AI-driven marketplace that acts as a “mutual friend” to scale trust globally. This is a high-output, hands-on role at a startup already generating millions in revenue with a tiny, elite team.

What you will do
- Ship core features across the React Native iOS app and TypeScript/Nest.js backend, including search, interactive maps, and in-app messaging.
- Architect and build an AI “mutual friend” layer that analyzes unstructured data to surface shared contexts and trust signals between users.
- Define technical foundations, hiring standards, and an AI-first development lifecycle that uses automation to multiply productivity and maintain high code quality.
