Lead Industrialisation Engineer at IONATE

Join IONATE as the first Lead Industrialisation Engineer to bridge the gap between engineering and operations. You will translate the Hybrid Intelligent Transformer (HIT) from initial builds into repeatable UK manufacturing and eventual scaled contract production. This senior, hands-on role involves defining manufacturing concepts, managing equipment delivery, and establishing rigorous production-readiness standards.

• Coordinate the full industrialisation lifecycle, from developing build concepts and equipment specifications to managing installation, commissioning, and final acceptance.
• Facilitate practical DFM and DFA reviews to translate product designs into safe, repeatable manufacturing processes while maintaining strict configuration and mBOM control.
• Prepare and execute comprehensive technical transfer packages for manufacturing partners, ensuring seamless scaling from local UK production to global contract manufacturers.

• Proven track record industrialising complex electromechanical or power-electronic hardware, such as UPS, converters, or transformers, from prototype to controlled production.
• Expertise in manufacturing engineering disciplines including process FMEA, control plans, process validation, and the development of specialized production tooling and fixtures.
• Strong technical foundation with a degree or apprenticeship in manufacturing or electrical engineering, combined with the hands-on ability to solve complex shop-floor build issues.
