About Build First

AI · 1-10 employees

Build First is an AI learning lab and product studio that helps operators, leaders, and teams become confident AI builders. It provides hands-on workshops, hackathons, and accelerated learning cohorts, as well as studio-build services in which its builders work alongside clients to scope, prototype, and develop custom applications and AI workflows. What you will do

  • Deliver high-energy, hands-on AI building sessions for rooms of 15-50 people, using an existing framework (POP-IT) and a dedicated Facilitator OS.
  • Conduct deep pre-session prep to understand client operating realities, shaping custom problem tracks that address specific corporate friction points and approval gates.
  • Diagnose and route around technical failures live—from IT lockdowns to API outages—maintaining room confidence and ensuring every participant leaves with a working tool.

Who this is a fit for

  • You are a native AI builder who ships tools as a reflex and is comfortable living in Claude Code and managing real code repositories.
  • You possess high charisma and exceptional communication skills, capable of commanding a room of fifty people and explaining complex concepts to both SVPs and coordinators.
  • You have the “operational radar” to walk into an unfamiliar organization, quickly understand their vocabulary, and identify the highest-value automation opportunities within their workflow.

Why this role is remarkable

  • Join an elite AI learning lab that has successfully trained 3,500+ people in its first year, working with top-tier venture firms and global enterprises.
  • Earn a premium session rate of $2,500-$4,000 while building a “Facilitator OS” codebase and sharpening your own AI engineering skills in real-world scenarios.
  • Enjoy total flexibility as a 1099 contractor, making this an ideal side-mission for AI founders, fractional operators, or consultants looking for high-engagement delivery work.
